Philosophy

Have you ever seen the God, the Supreme Being who has created you, me & the whole universe? All of you will say no, where as you have seen Him one time or the other at the railway station or the bus stop but not at the Mandir, Masjid, Church or Gurudwara. But I will say yes because, I have seen him and want all of you to look at Him & thank him for everything he has bestowed on us when you happen to see Him.

• The idols above are of Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra & Lord Jagannath who are presiding deities of Sanctum-Santorum of Lord Jagannath temple, Puri,  Odisha, India. The “Madala Panji”(archives of Puri temple) says that Lord himself came in the guise of an old carpenter(Maharana or Biswakarma) & requested the king  Indradyumna  & queen Gundicha of Puri to carve out the deities from wood logs as per king’s instruction. The carpenter’s precondition was that, he should be locked inside the temple for 21 days without any food to complete the desired work. Days passed by. The knock of the hammer on the wooden log used to be audible outside clearly indicating that the work is in progress. But one fine day prematurely the sound stopped abruptly radiating curiosity all over the kingdom. Everybody was anxious but watched patiently. But the queen was impatient & urged upon the king to break open the door to check for the carpenter’s well being. The door was opened prematurely to note that the carpenter was not there inside & the deities were incomplete in the present form.

                    It was not a coincidence but was intentionally done by the supreme spirit to carve out his own figure which we all should thank & love. Ultimately the figure carved out was of two brothers & one sister of a family, who is all multiple, disabled all less than one roof which is indicative of a most venerable family of the society who should be looked after at the earliest. They are like weakest link of a chain which should be mended early.
                      Hence the idols of temple are embodiment of most down trodden people of a society who should be loved & cared for. Nowhere else in the history of human religion this concept prevails & places of worship built.
                      Now atleast my readers are convinced that they have seen the Lord many times before in flesh & blood. If you love the Lord & want to thank Him & pray, there are many ways.
                      One of them is habilitation & rehabilitation of most venerable section of the society which is the motto of “DHWANI”, where we work for the rehabilitation of speech, language & hearing related problems of the society.
